Changes to Tesco Clubcard vouchers in Stratford-upon-Avon

With big changes around the corner for Tesco Clubcard vouchers in Stratford-upon-Avon, time is ticking to take advantage of the best deals.

Find out what changes are taking place and where you can use Tesco Clubcard vouchers in Stratford-upon-Avon.

What’s changing with Tesco Clubcard vouchers in Stratford-upon-Avon?

If you shop with Tesco, you’ll no doubt collect points on the supermarket’s Clubcard reward scheme. You’ll also know that spending the points instore or online is a bit of a waste. To make the most of those rewards, smart shoppers turn points into vouchers to use with Clubcard Reward Partners – getting up to four times the value of the points to spend at high-street restaurants, shops and services, and on fun family days out at zoos, theme parks and many of Britain’s top attractions.

But Tesco is cutting the very best boosts available, currently at four times the value, to three times the value. And it’s happening soon. Monday June 11 to be exact (it was meant to happen in January, but got pushed back thanks to the fab folk at Money Saving Expert). All of this means that you have three weeks to make the most of your Clubcard points.

As of Monday June 11, Tesco said it “will be offering customers 3x the value of their vouchers with over 80 Clubcard Reward Partners (rather than offering 2x value for some Reward Partners and 4x for others).”

How to beat the changes

However, when you turn your points into a rewards token, tokens are generally valid for six months upon ordering. And, with Tesco honouring any existing tokens until their expiry date, you can order your tokens now at 4x value and spend them before they expire in early winter.

So where can you make use of Tesco Clubcard vouchers in Stratford-upon-Avon?

Eating out using Tesco Clubcard vouchers in Stratford-upon-Avon

While the Clubcard scheme doesn’t have the reach to work with independent restaurants and cafes, something we aim to champion here in Stratford-upon-Avon, you can currently turn 50p of Clubcard points into a £2 spend at Pizza Express in Ely Street, Café Rouge in Sheep Street, and – though they don’t show on the map view when you search for nearby offers on Tesco’s Clubcard website – Bella Italia in Wood Street and Ask Italian in Bell Court. All currently available at 4x value.

That’s £40 (or a pleasant dinner for two) for just £10 in Tesco points. Be quick – the value drops soon, so exchange your vouchers now and use them in the next six months to get the best value. Tokens are generally for food only, not drinks, and to be used against the main menu (not set lunch menus, for example). The terms and conditions are there to see before you exchange your points for tokens.

Book Stratford-upon-Avon accommodation using Clubcard vouchers

There will be no change in the 3x points-tokens value with the local hotels that currently participate as Tesco Clubcard Reward Partners (Best Western Grosvenor, Macdonald Swan’s Nest and Macdonald Alveston Manor).

There is, however, a small change if you want to exchange your points vouchers for tokens to spend with Hoseasons (£15 in points currently gets you £50 in tokens) or Cottages 4 you (now known as Cottages.com; £30 in points currently gets you £100 in tokens), which both feature holiday properties in Stratford-upon-Avon. Both will move in line with the 3x value system being applied by Tesco on Monday June 11.

There are various terms and conditions attached to accommodation vouchers, so check carefully before converting your Tesco Clubcard points.
