Thursday November 29 – Saturday December 1: Get the feel-good factor early on in the festive season and make a donation of goods to Stratford-upon-Avon Foodbank. Collections made at Tesco, 9am-5pm. There will be lists available to guide shoppers towards useful items.
Saturday December 1: Join an Elf’s Workshop at Stratford Play House and learn how to make cards and decorations, stage a mini-pantomime and enjoy an early Christmas party. Tickets £5.
Saturday December 8: There’s a Santa Scramble (AKA a 5km obstacle course) at Stratford Racecourse from 10am in aid of The Shakespeare Hospice. Tickets (£15-20) include Santa outfit, medal and entry to the Christmas Fayre.
Saturday December 8: Christmas Comic Con at Stratford Leisure Centre. Guests include actors from TV’s Game of Thrones. Tickets £5.
Saturday December 15 and Sunday December 16: Hear festive Tudor music at Shakespeare’s Birthplace between 10am and 4pm. The event is included in standard admission and there’s a Tudor-style mince pie for afters.
Wednesday December 19 – Sunday December 30: Also at Shakespeare’s Birthplace (midday-4pm) you can learn what a traditional Tudor Christmas would have looked like and get a free taste of wassail (a traditional, hot mulled cider).

Tuesday December 25: The knowledgeable folk at Stratford Town Walk never stop in their fact-gifting tracks – not even on Christmas Day. Join the walk at 10.30am by the swan fountain on Waterside.
