Plus, with mulled wine on offer, cosy hats on heads, and the lights of Stratford’s shops and restaurants still aglow, there are plenty of ways to feel the Yuletide joy this Christmas.
Stratford-upon-Avon Christmas markets and fayres
Every Thursday from November 22 until Thursday December 20: Christmas Shopping Markets on Bridge Street, 10am-8pm.
Saturday December 1 and Sunday December 2: It’s Christmas Shopping Weekend at Timeless Delights Tearoom and Interiors from 10am-4pm. Entry is free and there’s live music, dance, and a raffle.
Wednesday December 5: Late-night shopping and meet the dealers evening at Bonds Lifestyle, 6pm-9pm.
Friday December 7 – Sunday December 9: The ever-popular Stratford-upon-Avon Victorian Christmas Market returns, with more than 200 stalls on Henley Street, Bridge Street and Wood Street. Friday 11am-8pm; Saturday 10am-8pm; and Sunday 10am-5pm.
Saturday December 8: A Christmas Fayre runs alongside the Santa Scramble (a 5km obstacle course) at Stratford Racecourse in aid of The Shakespeare Hospice, 10am-4pm. Entry £1 or included in Santa Scramble.
Saturday December 8: Get your Christmas shopping sorted at Shakespeare’s School! KES hosts its popular annual Christmas Market between 12.30pm and 3.30pm. Free entry.
Saturday December 8: The West End pub is hosting a Christmas Fayre from 2pm-6pm with stalls, plus wine- and gin-tasting and nibbles. Free entry.
