American visitors to Stratford-upon-Avon will feel right at home on July Fourth, AKA Independence Day, at Hall’s Croft. Entrance to the gardens is free between 1pm and 4pm on July 4, as the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust celebrates the special relationship between the UK and the USA.

There will be Tudor games and the barbecue will be fired up for hot dogs and burgers (or you could team a falafel burger with your Pimm’s – a burger/hot dog and drink costs £5). It certainly beats another soggy sarnie for lunch. Find out more about Hall’s Croft, the home of Shakespeare’s daughter Susanna.
